Estimated Costs for Property Investment in Crete




The expenses burden the final price by approximately 10%.

  1. Real Estate Agency Fees. The commission of our real estate agency is not standard for obvious reasons and is determined from 1 to 3% + VAT depending on the difficulty of the case, and is calculated on the final price of the property.   2. Transfer Taxes. 3.09% of the final purchase price of your property.

  3. Notary. Amounts to 0.8 to 1.2% + VAT on the final agreed purchase price. This also depends on the number of pages of the contract and the difficulty of drafting it. In any case, they do not differ much from the aforementioned prices.

  4. Legal Fees. Amounts to 1.5 to 2.5% + VAT on the final purchase price of your property, and depending on the ease of the case, it can vary slightly downwards.

  5. Mortgage Registry. Amounts to 0.6% + VAT on the final purchase price of your property.

  6. Engineer's Fees It is almost necessary to consult a civil engineer before your agreement and completion of the process, especially in cases of houses, plots, old houses. The engineer's fees are the smallest in the process and are agreed upon beforehand for the final inspection of your property.
